Religious Concerns
The tub toys are thrown in
As a sign of faith. Stay warm water
Until the fill line is met.
We will get on with our days,
Scrubbed, dry and dressed.
The lights will stay lit
And the boiler sing on until Spring.
Oh Kali, credit my incantations;
Coax smiles from the kids
And stock my fridge
With bologna and peaches.
Let the check
Be in the morning mail.
